Disability Support Worker

To be successful in this role you must:

  • be reliable and have a good work ethic

  • have the ability to be flexible, strong and resilient in challenging situations

You will be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • ensuring all medication administration is undertaken according to NDIS and Live & Learn Policies & Procedures
  • transporting participants to appointments and daily activities
  • supporting participants with personal hygiene, self-care, general tasks, and domestic duties
  • completing shift progress notes
  • meal preparation

Requirements for this role:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in the Disability sector
  • Current National Police Check
  • Current Working with Children’s Check
  • Have the availability to work all shifts (morning/afternoon/night/weekends)
  • Valid Australian Drivers Licence and comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Minimum Cert III in Individual Support (Disability)
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Medication Administration Certificate – Highly Desirable

Support Coordinator

We are seeking to employ a Support Coordinator for our team. This position supports people with an NDIS plan to connect to their community and access a range of services and support across one or more providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination and transition support for children and adults with a disability
  • Support the implementation of the plan and identify all options available
  • Work within the funding levels and monitor billable hours

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Cert IV or higher in Disability or Community
    Thorough knowledge of the NDIS and the disability sector
  • A professional outlook with experience in working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to achieve required outcomes
  • The ability to articulate information accurately to staff, clients and written reports
  • Working with Children Clearance
  • Police Check
  • NDIS Workers Check
  • Drivers Licence
