NDIS

What is the NDIS?

The NDIS is a revolutionary scheme that will provide more than $22 billion in funding a year to people with disabilities. For many of them, it’s the first time they’ve been able to get disability support at an affordable price and it can help make life better for all members within our community!

What Supports Are Funded

The types of supports that the NDIS may fund for participants include:

  • Daily personal activities – this help to ensure a person has enough time and space away from their carer(s) every day. Transport is often necessary in order to allow them to participate with others outside the home, but it can also be provided through workplace assistance if needed.

  • Workplace Help– this helps you get or keep employment by providing practical support such as safe access at work; they are there when hiring managers need new employees so we should make sure all have what’s the best possible chance!
